![]() ![]() Software and cloud-based services subject to an Educational license may be used solely for Educational Purposes and shall not be used for commercial, professional or any other for-profit purposes. ![]() My answer is based on my little experience, because before learning web development and becoming front-end developer, I used to be 3D artist focusing on real time (games).Free Autodesk software and/or cloud-based services are subject to acceptance of and compliance with the terms of use or other applicable terms that accompany such software or cloud-based services. ![]() Why ? Because Maya and 3dsmax are industry standards. Even if the skills you can acquire within Blender can be transposed to any kind of 3D application. On the other hand, if you want to be hired later on in a company as 3D artist or Animator, It's great to have some experience under Maya or 3dsmax. Mostly everything you'll learn with Maya can be applied within Blender, they both have most of the time similar tools !!įinally If you can't afford 250$ for an application you'll use as hobbyist, consider Blender as a way to exercise your 3D creativity, because that's totally FREE. I 'm not trying to force you to use it, but that's a good alternative, I worked on my side with 3dsmax & Maya when I was at high school and I then switched to blender since I was concerned by the price of the application and the trouble I could have by working without a licence. It even has some features that some applications seen as standard in the industry don't have. It's a really powerful application, you can do pretty much anything you need with it. I personally don't know the answer to your question, but if you are worried about the licence, there is an alternative, a pretty solid alternative. ![]()
